Sublimation Time and Temp — Printable PDF

Just the numbers, by blank, on one page you can print and tape next to the press — shirts, mugs, tumblers, coasters, and slate. Grab the free quick chart, or the full printable Settings Pack with logs for $7.

Quick answer

Printable sublimation time & temp: shirts 385–400°F / 40–60 s · hard blanks 380–400°F / ~60 s · mugs 350–400°F / 150–210 s · tumblers 360–385°F / 5–12 min · coasters & slate 385–400°F / 3–6 min. Temperature stays steady across blanks; the time is what scales with mass. Every value is a starting point — test on a scrap first.

Read this first: with sublimation the temperature barely moves between blanks — it is the time you adjust. These are common starting points; always test on a scrap and log what works.

Sublimation time & temp by blank

The quick-lookup grid the printable is built around — temperature and time only, no clutter.

Blank Temp Time
Polyester shirts385–400°F

40–60 s
Hard blanks380–400°F~60 s
Mugs (11oz & 15oz)350–400°F150–210 s (press)
Tumblers (20/30/40oz)360–385°F5–12 min (oven/wrap)
Coasters & slate385–400°F3–6 min

Common starting points. Heat-sensitive performance poly should drop to roughly 350–375°F to avoid scorching.

Why a printable PDF beats a phone search

Mid-press, with hot blanks and a running timer, the last thing you want is to unlock a phone and scroll. A printed time-and-temp PDF on the wall gives you the number at a glance, so you set the timer right the first time instead of guessing and ruining a mug. It is the smallest possible reference doing the one job you need most: the right time for this blank, right now.

And because the number on the page is only a starting point, the printable pairs naturally with a log — once you find the exact time that nails your tumblers on your wrap, you write it down and reprint that winner forever.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I get a sublimation time and temp printable PDF? +

The free 1-page cheat sheet PDF includes sublimation time and temperature for shirts, hard blanks, mugs and tumblers — no email. For the full set of blanks plus four other methods and three printable logs, the $7 Settings Pack is an instant PDF with lifetime access.

What are the times and temperatures by blank? +

Shirts 385–400°F for 40–60 seconds, hard blanks about 380–400°F for ~60 seconds, mugs 350–400°F for 150–210 seconds in a press, tumblers 360–385°F for 5–12 minutes in an oven or wrap, and coasters or slate 385–400°F for 3–6 minutes.

Does temperature or time change more between blanks? +

Time. Sublimation temperature stays in a fairly narrow band across blanks, while the time changes a lot — a shirt needs under a minute, but a thick tumbler in a wrap can need many minutes for the heat to reach the coating.

Are these numbers guaranteed? +

No — they are common starting points. Presses, blanks, paper and ink all vary, so test on a scrap first and adjust one variable at a time. Recording the setting that works is why the $7 pack also includes three printable logs.

Print the numbers. Set the timer right.

Every sublimation time & temp on one printable, plus the logs that keep your perfect time by the press.
