Quick answer
Printable sublimation starting points: polyester shirts 385–400°F / 40–60 s · hard blanks 380–400°F / ~60 s · mugs 350–400°F / 150–210 s (mug press) · tumblers 360–385°F / 5–12 min (oven/wrap) · coasters & slate 385–400°F / 3–6 min. Temp stays steady; time scales with the blank's mass. Every value is a starting point — test on a scrap first.

Sublimation settings by blank
This is the table the printable is built around — temperature, time, and pressure for the blanks makers run most.
| Blank / material | Temp | Time | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polyester shirts / fabric | 385–400°F 195–205°C | 40–60 s | Light–medium |
| Hard blanks phone cases, keychains | 380–400°F | ~60 s | Firm, even |
| Mugs (11oz & 15oz) | 350–400°F | 150–210 s (mug press) | Firm |
| Tumblers (20/30/40oz) | 360–385°F | 5–12 min (oven/wrap) | Wrap-tight |
| Coasters & slate | 385–400°F | 3–6 min | Firm, even |
Common starting points. Heat-sensitive performance poly should drop to roughly 350–375°F to avoid scorching.
Why a printable beats guessing
Sublimation is unforgiving: under-press and you get a pale, washed-out print; move the blank and you get a ghosted double image. The fix is not more tabs open on a hot day — it is a printed reference at arm's reach so you set the right temp and time before the press ever closes. One printed page next to the press saves the blank you would have ruined re-guessing.
The deeper win is consistency. When the starting points live on the wall, every mug and every tumbler starts from the same baseline — and once you note the exact setting that worked on your press, you reprint that winner forever instead of rediscovering it.

Why does my sublimation look faded at these settings? +
Usually too little time, heat, or pressure, or a blank that is not high enough polyester. These are starting points — test on a scrap, adjust one variable at a time (usually time before heat), and record what works. See why is my sublimation faded for the full checklist.
